PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer (CODESYS Expert)

About the role

We are seeking a highly technical PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer with deep expertise in CODESYS development to design and maintain automation solutions for marine applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain PLC applications using the CODESYS V3.x platform.
• Design software architecture employing Function Blocks, Function Block Diagrams, Structured Text, Ladder Diagram, and Sequential Function Chart.
• Create reusable CODESYS libraries and custom function blocks.
• Implement object‑oriented concepts such as interfaces, inheritance, and encapsulation.
• Configure task scheduling, real‑time execution, I/O mapping and device configuration.
• Debug applications using monitoring, breakpoints and trace tools.
• Manage version control and library repositories.
• Integrate systems via APIs and industrial communication protocols.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting and on‑site support.

Required profile

• Proven experience with CODESYS V3.x and IEC 61131‑3 programming.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity best practices (preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker, real‑time control and PID tuning (bonus).
• Experience in marine or yacht automation is advantageous.
• Strong debugging abilities, clean coding practices and good documentation skills.
