Pool & Beach Bar Server

About the role

Fairmont Ajman, a beachfront 5-star hotel in Ajman, is looking for a Pool & Beach Server. You will act as an ambassador for the hotel's service and hospitality, welcoming guests at the pool and beach areas and helping them enjoy a memorable stay through warm, attentive service and knowledge of the food and beverage offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, present menus and give accurate information about food and beverage offerings.
• Take orders accurately and serve promptly according to hotel service standards.
• Provide poolside and beachside service, recommending menu items, beverages and promotions to enhance the guest experience and maximise revenue.
• Prepare and set up service stations, tables, trays and other equipment before service.
• Keep tables, sun loungers, poolside and beach areas clean, tidy and properly maintained.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the hotel's POS system and follow billing procedures.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams for timely order delivery.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests and handle concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation and health and safety standards, including pool and beach operating procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients, allergens, promotions and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Assist with stock replenishment, equipment handling and end-of-shift cleaning and closing.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food and beverage service role, preferably in a hotel, resort, pool bar or beach bar.
• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and basic POS operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused, friendly and professional approach.
• Able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and stay composed under pressure.
• Physically fit to stand and walk for long periods in outdoor weather.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
