Painter - Five-Star Resort

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort group established in 2000 in Turkey, is hiring a Painter. The role covers painting and decorative works in guest rooms, villas, public areas, restaurants, corridors, offices, back-of-house areas and external areas, to five-star quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, removing old paint and applying primers.
• Apply emulsion, enamel, textured, epoxy, waterproof and other approved paint finishes.
• Perform touch-up and corrective painting, matching colours, textures and finishes accurately.
• Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures and fittings from paint splashes and damage.
• Keep the work area clean and inspect painted surfaces for defects such as peeling, cracks, uneven coverage, stains or colour mismatch.
• Assist with painting and refurbishment projects during room renovations, public-area upgrades and preventive maintenance programs.
• Follow daily schedules, maintenance requests and work orders from the Engineering team, coordinate with other trades and support emergency maintenance.
• Store paint and chemicals safely, follow HSE, fire safety, chemical handling and PPE procedures, and report major defects, leaks, dampness or mould to the supervisor.
• Maintain a professional appearance and respect guest privacy and minimal disturbance.

Required profile

• High school education or a relevant vocational/trade qualification preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Painter, preferably in a five-star hotel, luxury resort or similar hospitality environment.
• Experience in hotel/resort maintenance and refurbishment projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE requirements and safe handling of paints and chemicals is preferred.
• Flexible to rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays; physically fit for rescues, extended standing and outdoor work in varying weather.
