Pool Lifeguard – Full-Time

About the role

Southern Sun Abu Dhabi is looking for a vigilant, customer‑focused Pool Lifeguard to join its hospitality team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool users while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise swimmers from designated lifeguard stations, maintaining constant visual contact and identifying potential risks.
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations consistently to prevent accidents.
• Perform water rescues, administer first aid, CPR and use an AED as required.
• Complete incident reports and coordinate with management and emergency services when necessary.
• Conduct regular poolside checks, monitor water clarity and report hazards or maintenance issues.
• Assist with basic pool maintenance, including deck cleaning and equipment checks.
• Provide friendly customer service, answering guest queries about pool facilities and safety.

Required profile

• Valid ADQCC lifeguard qualification and current first aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Previous lifeguarding or supervisory experience in a pool or leisure centre is desirable.
• Excellent observational skills and the ability to stay alert for extended periods.
• Calm under pressure with decisive decision‑making in emergencies.
• Physically fit, confident swimmer able to perform rescues.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Required skills

• Valid ADQCC lifeguard qualification.
• Current emergency first aid, CPR and AED certification.
