Port Agency Operator

About the role

The Port Agency Operator will oversee the entire vessel port‑call lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination from nomination through to departure. This role is pivotal in delivering efficient maritime services for an international shipping and logistics provider.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete vessel port‑call process, including nomination, pre‑arrival documentation, arrival, cargo operations, and departure.
• Coordinate daily with ship owners, charterers, port authorities, terminals, customs, local agents, and internal departments.
• Prepare, review, and monitor all shipping documentation such as PDA/FDA, SOF, manifests, Bills of Lading, and customs and cargo paperwork.
• Monitor vessel progress, resolve operational issues, and arrange husbandry services as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in ship agency, port agency, vessel operations, or shipping operations.
• Proven ability to work with ship owners, charterers, port authorities, terminals, customs, and vessel masters.
• Strong knowledge of port operations, maritime regulations, and documentation procedures.
