Portfolio General Manager - Luxury Private Residences

About the role

A prestigious portfolio of private residences and associated assets is seeking a Portfolio General Manager to lead its hospitality and operational performance. Primarily based in the UAE, the role oversees an evolving portfolio that may also include international properties and other private assets. The manager acts as the first line of communication for the client, turning expectations into action so that property teams, facilities partners, suppliers and service providers consistently deliver to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall hospitality and operational performance of the portfolio of luxury private residences and associated assets.
• Act as the primary operational point of contact for the client, building trusted relationships through responsive communication, sound judgement and discretion.
• Lead, develop and support property management and operational teams, setting consistent service standards across the portfolio.
• Anticipate client needs and ensure a personalized, seamless experience at every touchpoint.
• Oversee the client's travel experience, including private aviation, luxury accommodation, ground transportation, destination residences and itinerary coordination.
• Plan and deliver private events and functions.
• Oversight of facilities management, maintenance programmes, contractors and specialist suppliers to keep properties to exceptional standards.
• Oversee budgets, manpower planning, procurement and operational resources.
• Support property development, refurbishment and improvement projects, coordinating between the client, operational teams, project teams and partners.
• Mobilize new properties entering the portfolio so they are ready to deliver the required hospitality experience.
• Continuously identify improvements to service delivery, operational efficiency and the client experience.

Required profile

• Luxury hospitality leader with extensive experience in five-star hotels, luxury resorts, private residences or similar high-touch environments.
• Proven experience leading complex hospitality operations, multiple properties or diverse operational functions.
• Experience with UHNW clients, private households, royal households, family offices or private residences is a strong advantage.
• Strong people leadership skills and a strong understanding of luxury service.
• Commercial capability in budgeting, manpower planning, procurement and cost management.
• Confidence overseeing facilities, maintenance, contractors and specialists; understanding of property development, refurbishment or mobilization projects is advantageous.
• Experience coordinating complex VIP travel and private events is highly desirable.
• Strong cultural awareness, ideally with experience in the UAE or wider region.
