Post-Doctoral Associate – Developmental Biology & Bioengineering

About the role

The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory seeks a Post‑Doctoral Associate to advance developmental biology and disease modeling through stem‑cell biology, fluorescence imaging, bioinformatics, and nano‑/micro‑engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and fabricate nano‑ and micro‑engineered platforms that interface with human stem cells.
• Investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of development and disease using advanced imaging and omics techniques.
• Lead experiments from conception to publication in high‑impact journals.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers and contribute to grant writing and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in science, engineering or a closely related field awarded before the start date, within five years of the degree.
• Strong publication record and excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Device design and micro/nano‑fabrication.
• Stem‑cell culture and differentiation.
• High‑resolution fluorescence imaging.
• Single‑cell or bulk omics analysis.
• Bioinformatics data analysis.
