The Communication Networks Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to advance research on responsible AI and computational social science. The role involves shaping research agendas, leading empirical projects, and contributing to high‑impact publications.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate research questions and design rigorous computational or experimental methods.
• Lead empirical projects, develop datasets, benchmarks, and auditing infrastructure.
• Publish findings in top‑tier AI, NLP, Web, or interdisciplinary venues.
• Mentor junior researchers and collaborate across technical and social‑science disciplines.

Required profile

• PhD (or completed requirements) in computer science, data science, computational social science, or related field, less than 5 years post‑doctoral.
• Strong peer‑reviewed publication record in qualifying conferences or journals.
• Demonstrated ability to define and execute original, rigorous research.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
