About the role
WSP Middle East is looking for a motivated Power Engineering Intern to join the Utilities department in Abu Dhabi. You will support senior engineers on medium‑ and low‑voltage network design, load calculations and model validation for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in drafting MV and LV network schematics and road‑lighting layouts.
- Prepare telecom power distribution drawings and perform load‑flow and short‑circuit analysis using ETAP or PowerFactory.
- Validate design outputs against project specifications and update GIS layers and design databases.
- Participate in design review meetings, generate documentation and conduct site visits when required.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering (final year preferred).
- Basic knowledge of MV/LV power distribution principles and road‑lighting systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
- Eligibility to work in the United Arab Emirates.
