Practical Nurse – OPD Surgical / PAC Clinic

About the role

The Practical Nurse will deliver patient‑centered care in an outpatient surgical and PAC clinic under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role supports the organization’s mission, vision and values while adhering to Abu Dhabi’s Nursing Code of Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and implement nursing care plans for patients, following RN guidance.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including meals and hygiene.
• Report any significant changes in patient condition to the RN immediately.
• Respond to emergencies according to clinic policies.
• Maintain accurate verbal and written communication with patients and their representatives.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient, patient‑focused care.
• Document care and use electronic medical records (EMR) consistently.
• Support RNs and clerical staff with administrative duties as needed.
• Provide patients and families with comprehensive health information and resources.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote professional communication.
• Manage inventory of examination room supplies and prepare rooms for each patient.

Required profile

• Practical nursing qualification recognized in Abu Dhabi.
• Experience in an outpatient or surgical clinic setting.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of the Nursing Scope of Practice and local professional codes.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families and the care team.
