Primary Homeroom Teacher (Cycle 1)

About the role

The International Community School is seeking a dedicated Primary Homeroom Teacher for its Al Maharat Campus, starting August 2026. You will be responsible for delivering the National Curriculum (UK or equivalent) to Cycle 1 students, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent with PGCE and QTS.
• Minimum 2 years of primary teaching experience, preferably with the UK curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of primary education practices and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• ADEK‑approved teacher status is an advantage.
