Primary Teacher – Immediate Start (IB & British Curriculum)

About the role

GEMS World Academy on Al Reem Island is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join its vibrant, inclusive community. The role starts immediately, with the successful candidate contributing to both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and British curriculum programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, inclusive lessons that meet the diverse needs of primary learners.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to design strategies that promote access, progress and achievement.
• Use data to monitor student progress and plan targeted interventions.
• Foster a positive classroom environment aligned with the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.
• Engage parents and the wider school community to support holistic student development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent with a primary teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state license).
• Minimum three years of primary teaching experience, preferably within an IB or British curriculum setting.
• Strong understanding of IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching and Learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational abilities.
