Primary Teacher – International School in Dubai

About the role

The Primary Teacher will deliver high‑quality, engaging and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum at Smart Vision School in Dubai. The role supports academic, social and emotional development while aligning with UK Teachers’ Standards, KHDA and UAE Ministry of Education requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all primary subjects, adapting content for Students of Determination, ELL learners and diverse abilities.
• Assess and track student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate records and produce regular reports on academic, social and emotional development.
• Manage classroom behaviour, promote respect, empathy and inclusion, and ensure safeguarding of all students.
• Develop schemes of work and teaching materials aligned with UK and UAE curricula, embedding UAE heritage, culture and values.
• Participate in professional development, departmental meetings, school events and after‑school activities, contributing to a collaborative school community.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of primary teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of assessment, differentiation and inclusive practices.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and wellbeing requirements.
• Desirable: experience teaching in UAE or international schools; familiarity with KHDA inspection standards and UAE MoE curriculum.
