Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover

About the role

Smart Vision School is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to provide maternity cover from 19 Oct 2026 to 26 Feb 2027. The role ensures continuity of learning, high expectations and strong pastoral care within a British‑curriculum environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
• Maintain high standards of student achievement, behaviour and engagement.
• Use assessment data to identify strengths, close learning gaps and adapt teaching.
• Create an inclusive, safe classroom where every child feels valued.
• Support SEND, EAL and gifted learners, and communicate regularly with parents.
• Collaborate with year‑group colleagues, teaching assistants and the Primary leadership team.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE with QTS) and relevant bachelor's degree.
• Experience teaching the British primary curriculum and strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven ability to plan engaging lessons and drive strong student progress.
• Excellent classroom management and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience supporting SEND and EAL students is desirable.
• Availability to start on 19 Oct 2026.
