Principal Backend Development Engineer

About the role

Bybit is seeking a Principal Backend Development Engineer to lead the design and development of its core trading backend. The role focuses on building high‑performance, low‑latency systems that support massive concurrency and ensure platform stability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the backend of the trading core system.
• Maintain, upgrade, and optimise the system to handle high concurrency, low latency, and high stability.
• Participate in business design, propose constructive solutions, and author technical documentation.
• Research and apply cutting‑edge technologies, shaping the future architecture of the platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong business sense with ability to independently produce technical documents.
• Experience with large‑scale project foundations and application architecture design.

Required skills

• C++ with solid foundation; familiarity with folly and boost libraries.
• Proficiency with NoSQL caches, message queues and search engines such as Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of distributed system design, high‑traffic, high‑concurrency performance tuning.
