Principal Engineer - Power Electronics

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced power electronics for high‑performance autonomous systems. You will define technical roadmaps and drive innovation across hardware, simulation, and prototyping.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement technical roadmaps for power electronics and hardware design.
• Lead design and optimization of DC‑DC converters, inverters, and motor drives for high‑efficiency applications.
• Oversee circuit design and PCB development using Altium Designer, ensuring signal integrity, thermal efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, and LTspice for system modeling and analysis.
• Drive prototyping, validation, and rapid iteration of power systems to meet system‑level requirements.
• Integrate power electronics with motor systems, sensors, and control algorithms, ensuring EMC, thermal performance, and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or related field (PhD a plus).
• 15+ years of experience in power electronics design, system integration, and validation.
• Proven expertise in designing converters, inverters, and motor drive systems for complex applications.
