Principal Instrumentation Designer

About the role

The Principal Instrumentation Designer will lead the instrumentation design effort for complex projects, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and seamless integration with other engineering disciplines. Working from the Dubai office, you will act as the technical hub for design concepts, FEED studies, and detailed documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop conceptual, FEED and detailed design drawings of high technical quality.
• Create and maintain 3D models, guaranteeing clash‑free coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensure all design deliverables meet project specifications, MDR requirements and are issued on schedule and within budget.
• Lead small to medium instrumentation design teams, allocating resources and forecasting needs.
• Coordinate discipline interfaces, manage scope changes and raise change notifications promptly.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, subcontractors and certifying authorities.
• Monitor progress, identify corrective actions and maintain productivity standards.

• Strong leadership skills with experience directing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities to meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
