Principal Lead – Business Banking

About the role

The Principal Lead – Business Banking drives the technology strategy, delivery and support for Commercial Banking services. Reporting to senior leadership, the role partners with business units and technology teams to enable digital transformation, secure banking solutions and scalable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the Commercial Banking technology roadmap and end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle.
• Lead design, implementation, support and continuous improvement of banking technology solutions.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and technology partners.
• Drive digital transformation, automation and process optimisation initiatives.
• Establish and monitor technology, operational and business KPIs.
• Manage technology budgets, Capex and Opex governance.
• Guide high‑performing teams, promote Agile and DevOps adoption and ensure compliance with security, audit and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Commercial/Business Banking technology, digital banking or related domains.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale technology delivery and transformation in the banking sector.
• Professional certifications in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL or cloud platforms are preferred.
