About the role

The Principal Marine Operations Specialist leads functional teams in field engineering, interprets internal and external business issues, and delivers innovative solutions for offshore oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of field and senior field engineers to ensure timely execution of installation projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with procurement, construction, and installation teams for seamless project integration.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address technical issues, and ensure quality control.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions aligned with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Oversee design and optimization of engineering systems for feasibility, efficiency, and safety.
• Perform technical reviews and recommend improvements to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
• Implement emerging industry practices to continuously improve engineering processes.
• Maintain strong client relationships as the primary technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential challenges or opportunities and communicate them to the project team for timely resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (master’s preferred).
• 10–14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with major contractors or consultants.
• Proven experience in the EPCI sector, focusing on engineering functions.
• Offshore project experience highly valued.
• Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with engineering tools and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
• Outstanding problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
