Principal Package Management Specialist

About the role

The Principal Package Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of a project package, from inception to hand‑over, ensuring delivery on budget, on schedule and in compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security (QHSES) standards. The role combines technical, commercial and leadership expertise to drive successful package execution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assigned packages (purchase orders and/or sub‑contracts) within budget, schedule and QHSES requirements.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Project Management Team, providing accurate status updates and short‑ and long‑term outlooks.
• Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans and keep a strategic outlook throughout execution.
• Track and report package cost, commitments, changes and forecasts, aligning with Project Controls.
• Analyse schedule dates with schedulers to set priorities, installation work packages and advance work packages.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders including suppliers, engineering, supply chain, construction, commissioning and client representatives.
• Organise and attend periodic status meetings, progress meetings, kick‑off meetings and other key project forums.
• Manage formal correspondence and documentation with suppliers, clients and internal parties.

Required profile

• Strong technical, commercial and management acumen.
• Proven leadership ability to drive cross‑functional teams.
• Experience reporting to executive and corporate management levels.
• Ability to analyse cost and schedule data and present clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
