Principal Product Manager - Investment and Credit AI

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is building AI-powered products for institutions and companies. It is looking for a hands-on Principal Product Manager with deep FinTech expertise to lead Alpha, its investment and credit AI product. You will own strategy, roadmap and outcomes for institutional investors, lenders and financial analysts, and lead cross-functional teams spanning Design, Engineering, Science, domain experts and Growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define Alpha's vision, target segments, differentiation and roadmap, and assess competitors and incumbent research tools
• Work with analysts, portfolio managers and credit teams to understand workflows, buying criteria and adoption barriers
• Own requirements for opportunity screening, company and sector research, due diligence, valuation support and investment committee materials
• Develop credit workflows: financial statement, cash-flow and debt-service analysis, downside scenarios, credit memos, covenant review and portfolio monitoring
• Define expected AI behaviour and acceptance criteria, with outputs in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Prioritise integrations with filings, transcripts, market and credit data and deal rooms, and partner on data licensing and build-versus-partner decisions
• Translate user needs into AI requirements with Science and Engineering, including models, RAG, context, memory, tool use and agent orchestration
• Ensure reliable extraction and reconciliation across documents and tables, and make outputs traceable to source evidence
• Own evaluation rubrics, test sets and analyst review, set release thresholds and monitor regressions
• Build AI disclosure, permissions, audit trails and data residency, and define approved uses with customers' governance teams
• Evaluate English and Arabic financial content for quality and localisation
• Lead discovery through launch and iteration, own the business case and performance, and convert pilots into production use
• Mentor product managers, contribute to hiring, and communicate with investment and credit leaders and enterprise buyers

Required profile

• 10+ years in product management or closely related roles, with substantial ownership of complex products at senior or principal level and a record of launching and scaling financial technology
• Knowledge of institutional investment or credit workflows, with working fluency across both
• Experience building products for analysts, investment teams, lenders or risk professionals
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, leverage and credit risk, and ability to interrogate financial models
• Experience delivering enterprise software with measurable adoption and commercial impact, and taking AI-powered products from concept to production
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Preferred: investment banking, asset management, private equity, private credit, corporate lending or credit research experience; experience with financial data providers, document intelligence, financial modelling tools or enterprise integrations; Arabic language ability and bilingual product experience; CFA, FRM or similar qualification

Required skills

• Practical fluency in large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, context, memory, tool use and evaluations
• Hands-on use of AI tools to prototype workflows and test model behaviour
• Use of Excel, SQL or comparable tools to investigate data and measure outcomes
