Cost Clerk - Automotive Service Team

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Clerk to join its Service team across the UAE, reporting to the Service Manager. The role ensures service orders are accurately costed, split and invoiced across cash, credit, warranty, service maintenance contracts and internal sub-orders, and supports purchasing, vendor payments, incentives and workshop reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review labour and parts used in service orders, allocate items to the correct sub-orders and ensure accurate customer billing.
• Prepare pro-forma and final invoices for internal, contract, credit, warranty and other eligible service orders.
• Validate package pricing, consumable charges, agreed discounts and mark-ups in line with company guidelines.
• Raise purchase requisitions and local purchase orders in SAP for sublet services, bought-out items, consumables, equipment maintenance and small tools.
• Complete goods receipt and invoice verification, and submit vendor documentation to Finance for payment.
• Maintain incentive, overtime, attendance and productive-hours data, including updates in the incentive system.
• Coordinate with Service Managers, Supervisors, Contracts, Finance and other teams to resolve exceptions, reduce work in progress and support timely invoicing.
• Maintain workshop stationery records and support monthly productivity reporting.

Required profile

• Graduate qualification, ITI certification or diploma in any discipline.
• At least three years of experience in the automotive or retail industry.
• Practical exposure to job costing, invoicing, purchase orders, vendor documentation or service administration.
• Basic accounting and automotive technical knowledge.
• Effective written and verbal communication, teamwork and commercial awareness when reviewing costs, pricing and billing.

Required skills

• Strong numerical, computational and analytical skills with a methodical approach.
• Planning, organisation and time management, meeting deadlines.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting and automotive service processes.
• SAP or a dealer management system, with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
