Principal Solutions Architect – Dnata

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to lead the design, development and governance of solution architecture across its global aviation technology portfolio. You will work closely with business units to translate ambitious goals into fit‑for‑purpose technical solutions, driving innovation for the world’s largest international airline.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern corporate IT standards, guidelines and practices, assessing emerging technologies and their strategic impact.
• Lead solution architecture for new initiatives, vendor acquisitions and enhancements of existing systems, ensuring quality and alignment with agile practices.
• Drive architecture decisions, managing cost, schedule, complexity, technical debt and performance implications.
• Provide expert advice and lead design reviews, guiding teams on standards, exceptions and pattern usage.
• Coach and inspire Solutions Architects and senior engineers, coordinating with peer architects and engineering teams.
• Own the architecture roadmap, prioritize technical enablers, and act as product owner for modernization activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related IT discipline.
• Proven technical leadership of architects and senior developers in large, complex environments.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, micro‑services, event‑driven and cloud‑native patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture and engineering.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Scaled Agile) and modelling techniques such as ArchiMate, C4 and UML.
