Principal Systems Engineer

About the role

Join ADCB’s Group Business Services team as a Principal Systems Engineer, driving the design, implementation and governance of technology solutions that support the bank’s digital transformation. This role is open to UAE nationals and offers the chance to work with cross‑functional squads on high‑impact initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage design, implementation and technical artefacts across technology lifecycles, adhering to ADCB engineering standards and guardrails.
• Build and apply repeatable design patterns, components and solutions that meet business objectives while ensuring security, scalability, reliability and performance.
• Mentor and coach engineers on best practices, technology trends and skills modernization.
• Oversee day‑to‑day execution of technology and digital strategy road‑maps, coordinating with Platforms, Chapters and Tribes to meet agreed turnaround times.
• Lead change control, testing, incident management, troubleshooting and release management activities.
• Identify innovation opportunities and improve software development processes and tools.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure SLA compliance and manage remediation plans.
• Manage self and team according to ADCB people‑management policies to maximise performance.

Required profile

• UAE national.
• Proven experience in systems engineering and leading technical teams.
• Strong ability to mentor, coach and drive a data‑driven approach.
• Excellent collaboration skills with solution architects, vendors and cross‑functional squads.
