Process Operator – Chemical Plant

About the role

Sichem, a specialist manufacturer of oilfield chemicals, is seeking a Process Operator for its chemical plant in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will operate and monitor process equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production of specialty chemicals.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reactors, mixers, pumps, compressors, columns and other process equipment according to SOPs and batch instructions.
• Charge raw materials, monitor process parameters and ensure batch completion.
• Perform routine inspections, record process data, production results and equipment status.
• Collect product samples and support quality‑control activities.
• Identify and report process deviations, equipment malfunctions and safety concerns.
• Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness and workplace safety in the production area.
• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, start‑up, shutdown and continuous‑improvement tasks.
• Follow basic safety regulations and company QHSE standards.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in a chemical process environment (minimum 2 years post‑training).
• Minimum Higher Secondary education.
• Basic communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Good physical strength and health.
• Basic mathematics skills.
