Procurement Coordinator – Construction (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to manage the purchasing of construction and trading materials for our Dubai operations. The role involves close coordination with suppliers, site teams, warehouse, logistics and accounts to ensure timely delivery and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day purchasing activities for construction and trading materials.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Obtain supplier quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers on quotations, order confirmations, pricing and deliveries.
• Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
• Collaborate with site, warehouse, logistics and accounts teams regarding material requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier documents, quotations and related documentation.
• Update and manage the supplier/vendor database and assist with vendor evaluation.
• Monitor UAE market prices, identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
• Enter procurement transactions in the ERP system (FirstBit ERP preferred) and generate reports using Microsoft Excel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• 1–3 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in construction, building materials or trading.
• Good knowledge of UAE suppliers, construction materials, local market pricing and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management and follow‑up abilities.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and maintain high attention to detail.
