Procurement Engineer – Building Construction

About the role

The Procurement Engineer supports the Building Construction division by handling technical sourcing, vendor evaluation, cost estimation and contract administration for construction materials and subcontractor packages. Reporting to the Procurement Lead, the role works closely with engineering, project management and site teams to ensure compliance with specifications, QHSE standards, budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Technical sourcing and vendor evaluation for construction materials, bulk items, long‑lead items and subcontractor packages.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, conduct commercial and technical evaluation, and produce comparative bid tabulations.
• Support cost estimation, budget monitoring and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Maintain supplier/subcontractor database, negotiate contracts in line with FIDIC terms, and ensure compliance with QHSE standards.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of procurement experience in building construction, with hands‑on technical sourcing of civil, infra, MEP and finishing materials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Familiarity with BOQs, construction drawings, and FIDIC‑based contracts.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple packages and maintain high attention to detail.
