Procurement Engineer – MEP & Civil

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Construction Procurement Engineer – MEP & Civil to join our growing team in Dubai. The role involves end‑to‑end procurement of MEP and civil materials, equipment and subcontract services for construction and fit‑out projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance and adherence to UAE regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle for MEP and civil materials and equipment.
• Review material requisitions, BOQs, drawings and specifications before issuing RFQs.
• Prepare and issue RFQs with full technical and commercial requirements.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and technical submissions.
• Identify long‑lead items and develop procurement strategies to avoid delays.
• Coordinate consultant approvals for material submittals.
• Issue and manage purchase orders through delivery and payment.
• Track procurement schedules, material deliveries and prepare weekly status reports.
• Maintain procurement records using ERP systems such as Zoho Procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within the UAE construction industry.
• Proven experience procuring MEP and civil packages for commercial, hospitality, residential or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV and civil construction materials.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, bid analysis, contract negotiation and purchase order management.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement software and excellent English communication skills.
• Preferred CIPS Level 4 or above and experience with LEED, Estidama or other sustainable construction standards.
