Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will be based on‑site in Dubai, managing end‑to‑end procurement activities that support construction, marine and engineering projects. This full‑time position ensures that materials and services are sourced, purchased and delivered in line with project schedules, quality standards and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers for a wide range of project needs.
• Create, track and reconcile purchase orders using ERP or similar systems.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance and operations to forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Optimize costs while maintaining quality and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Required profile

• Strong background in procurement and purchasing, with experience managing full sourcing cycles.
• Hands‑on experience handling purchase orders in ERP environments.
• Proven contract negotiation abilities, including vendor selection and agreement drafting.
• Solid analytical skills for supplier performance assessment and cost analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in construction, marine or industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in cross‑functional, fast‑paced teams.
• Familiarity with procurement software/ERP systems and basic financial acumen.
