Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer executes procurement activities to support organizational requirements, focusing on timely sourcing, supplier coordination and purchase order management. The role ensures cost efficiency, compliance with procurement policies and effective coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers. It reports to the Senior Manager – Procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement, including RFQs, supplier communication, bid collection and purchase order processing.
• Gather requirements and clarify specifications with internal stakeholders before sourcing begins.
• Engage suppliers for quotations and analyse them on price, quality, delivery timelines and service capability.
• Support negotiations for competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms.
• Process and track purchase orders, resolve order discrepancies and delivery delays, and monitor supplier performance.
• Conduct basic market research, maintain accurate records and prepare procurement reports.
• Support audits and use procurement systems and tools for sourcing, documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
• Experience in sourcing support, supplier coordination and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and purchasing best practices.
• Desirable: CIPS or equivalent certification, experience in real estate, FM or service-based procurement, and knowledge of UAE procurement practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP).
• Intermediate level in procurement operations, supplier coordination, order management, negotiation support, policy compliance, market research, reporting and audit support.
