Procurement Officer – Procurement & Contracts Department

About the role

The Procurement Officer supports the Procurement and Contracts Department in acquiring goods, works and services for Abu Dhabi University and its sister companies. The role ensures that end‑user requirements are met on time, within budget and to the required quality standards while complying with university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement plans, considering deadlines, financial resources and operational feasibility.
• Manage local and international procurement cycles, including RFQ, RFP, ITB, direct contracting, evaluation, selection and contract issuance.
• Supervise procurement agents, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, fairness and transparency.
• Prepare monthly procurement status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Oversee blanket purchase orders, enter data into the ERP system and monitor supplier performance.
• Act as the ERP liaison, support system enhancements and provide technical assistance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; professional procurement certification preferred.
• 5‑7 years of progressive procurement and contracts management experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
