Procurement Officer – UAE National Only

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a UAE National Procurement Officer to manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for project and product operational requirements in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures competitive sourcing, timely delivery, commercial compliance and effective supplier management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the full procurement cycle from purchase request, RFQ, technical/commercial evaluation, negotiation, PO placement to supplier follow‑up.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers, reviewing specifications, drawings and scope of work with engineering and project teams.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery, Incoterms, warranty and other commercial conditions.
• Support project teams to meet procurement schedules, budgets and delivery requirements.
• Manage PO amendments, expediting, supplier delays and commercial issues while monitoring supplier performance.
• Identify cost‑saving and alternative sourcing opportunities and ensure compliance with company policies and local e‑invoicing regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical or related).
• 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, EPC, automation or manufacturing, with strong project procurement exposure in UAE/GCC.
• Professional qualification such as CIPS is an advantage.

• Strong technical understanding of engineering materials, equipment and specifications.
• Project procurement and supplier management expertise.
• Proficiency in RFQ and commercial evaluation, contract and Incoterms knowledge.
• Cost analysis and price benchmarking abilities.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
