Procurement & Product Development Manager – Watches

About the role

The retail operation is looking for a Procurement & Product Development professional to lead sourcing and supplier management for the watches segment. You will be responsible for building a global network of reliable suppliers and supporting the creation of both in‑house and independent watch brands.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop international suppliers for movements, components, assemblies, cases, dials, hands and finished watch production.
• Maintain a strong global network across the entire watch supply chain, including movement manufacturers, component makers, assembly houses and specialist vendors.
• Benchmark suppliers and negotiate pricing, quality standards, payment terms, MOQs, lead times and other commercial conditions.
• Conduct supplier due‑diligence, capability assessments and ongoing performance reviews.
• Support new watch development by advising on component selection, sourcing options, manufacturing feasibility and production locations.
• Collaborate closely with product development and design teams to turn concepts into commercially viable products.
• Develop long‑term strategic relationships with key manufacturers and identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiency, cost competitiveness and supply‑chain reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in watch sourcing, manufacturing, product development, procurement or supplier management within the watch industry.
• Deep understanding of the end‑to‑end watch manufacturing ecosystem and international supplier landscape.
• Established relationships or a strong network with international watch manufacturers, component suppliers and assembly houses, especially in Switzerland, China/Far East and other major markets.
• Strong commercial acumen to evaluate suppliers on quality, price, technical capability, capacity and lead time.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for supplier visits and business development.
• Genuine passion for watches and awareness of current industry trends.
