Production Engineer – PCB Assembly Operations

About the role

The Production Engineer II studies and defines how products are manufactured on the production line, focusing on process optimisation, quality improvement and cost/waste reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead industrialisation, including tooling, fixture design and automation, to transition from prototype to mass production.
• Collaborate with the Design for Advanced Manufacturing (DFAM) function for new products and manage data‑pack discrepancies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) and communicate production issues to relevant departments.
• Coordinate and implement engineering changes on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Drive production KPIs such as safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Stay informed of the latest trends in electronics manufacturing and production engineering.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Production Engineer, preferably in the defence sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and fluency in English.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Production Engineering or related field, IPC‑A‑610 & J‑STD‑001 trainer certification, and experience with MES, ERP integration and data analytics.
