Production Manager – Oversee Operations & Teams

About the role

The Production Manager leads all production activities, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality output. This role is responsible for planning, resource management, equipment reliability, compliance and continuous improvement while guiding supervisors to meet operational and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and optimise workflows by assigning responsibilities, preparing production schedules and balancing resources.
• Lead machine operating and fabrication teams to achieve high productivity and quality standards.
• Oversee safe operation of fabrication equipment and implement preventive/corrective maintenance plans.
• Identify, analyse and coordinate corrective actions for process deviations and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure full compliance with safety standards, housekeeping protocols and operational policies.
• Monitor production processes, detect inefficiencies and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate and oversee fabrication of generator canopies, skids, tanks, structures and sheet‑metal assemblies.
• Track performance indicators and produce regular operational, cost and productivity reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, procurement and maintenance teams for seamless operations.
• Lead talent development, coach the team, conduct performance reviews and manage succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop production teams.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement and ensuring safety compliance.
