Production Planning Engineer

About the role

The Production Planning Engineer will ensure smooth material flow and efficient production scheduling for our marine fish quarantine facility and related projects. The role involves close collaboration with purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and supply‑chain teams to support on‑time project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan material requirements based on production and project needs, ensuring timely procurement.
• Monitor supplier performance, inventory levels, and order processes using ERP/MRP systems.
• Coordinate material planning with purchasing and logistics, analysing demand forecasts and cost data.
• Facilitate communication between production, warehouse, and supply‑chain units to minimise planning errors.
• Analyse supply risks and implement alternative sourcing or cost‑optimisation measures.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules and inventory updates to meet project deadlines.
• Oversee local procurement processes and monitor critical inventory for uninterrupted production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Turkish nationality or ability to speak Turkish.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks (preferred).
• Understanding of production processes, capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety systems.
