Production Team Leader

About the role

The Production Team Leader will oversee day‑to‑day manufacturing operations in an assigned production area, ensuring safety, quality and on‑time delivery. The role coordinates shop‑floor teams, resources and cross‑functional partners to meet Pulse Nova’s manufacturing objectives in a regulated defense environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production execution for the assigned area/shift, achieving safety, quality and delivery targets.
• Plan and manage staffing, allocating operators, matching skills and distributing workload to meet takt and line priorities.
• Conduct daily tier meetings and visual management (SQDC boards), escalating blockers with data and ensuring action closure.
• Ensure product quality through standard work compliance, in‑process checks, traceability, documentation and immediate defect containment.
• Coach and develop operators on‑the‑job, coordinating onboarding, certification and re‑certification with Training/DOJO.
• Drive continuous improvement on the shop floor (5S, waste removal, defect reduction, process stabilization) and sustain gains through audits.
• Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to address downtime and process issues, performing first‑response, root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing environments, with at least 2 years leading shop‑floor teams.
• Strong understanding of production KPIs such as output, schedule adherence, FPY, scrap/rework, OTD/OTIF and daily management routines.
• Experience with defect containment and structured root‑cause analysis methods (5‑Why, 8D/A3) and follow‑up to closure.
• Proven ability to operate in ramp‑up contexts with changing priorities, material shortages and high execution intensity.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities, capable of leading multicultural teams and enforcing standard work discipline.
