Program Manager - Loitering Munitions

About the role

EDGE is an advanced technology group headquartered in the UAE, spanning more than 35 companies and centres of excellence in defence and emerging technologies. Its Advanced Concepts entity designs and deploys advanced technologies, including autonomous systems such as medium endurance high-altitude fixed-wing drones, precision loitering munitions, cruise missiles and guided artillery munitions. This Program Manager role leads the strategic planning, development and execution of complex unmanned aerial system programs, with cross-functional technical leadership across aerodynamics, mechanical, electronics, control systems and software teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term strategies for program development and execution aligned with organizational objectives and market needs.
• Manage complex engineering projects for advanced drone systems and conduct feasibility analysis of project requirements.
• Allocate resources across projects and identify, assess and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Act as the main liaison between the technical teams to deliver integrated loitering munition solutions and provide technical guidance on design and requirements.
• Coordinate technical aspects of field and flight tests and oversee integration of loitering munition subsystems.
• Create a technical roadmap for loitering munition programs and drive continuous optimization of drone performance parameters such as flight stability, payload capacity and energy efficiency.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and yearly status reports and compile internal and external product development documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the aerospace and defence industry, including agile or hybrid development cycles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or another technical field.
• Preferred: specific experience with loitering munitions and advanced drone systems (tactical, strategic, reconnaissance, anti-drone), and a deep understanding of defence system design, development and integration.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP) or System Engineering (e.g. INCOSE CSEP) is preferable; English is required.
