Project Control Manager - Rail Infrastructure

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is looking for a detail-oriented Project Control Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees project controls, cost management and schedule performance for rail (HSR) infrastructure initiatives, working with project teams, stakeholders and senior management to ensure project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project control systems and processes aligned with organizational standards and industry best practice.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures and financial performance, and prepare cost reports and variance analyses.
• Track schedules, milestones and timelines, identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Analyze project data from multiple sources and prepare executive reports and dashboards.
• Conduct risk assessments on scope, schedule and budget and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Work with project managers, engineers and finance teams to resolve control issues and optimize resource allocation.
• Maintain control documentation, baselines and change management records, support audits and ensure contractual compliance.
• Train project team members on control procedures, tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in project controls, project management or related roles in infrastructure, construction or engineering.
• Proven expertise in cost control, budget management and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication.
• Preferred: experience with high-speed rail, rail or large-scale infrastructure projects, and knowledge of PMBOK, AACE or similar standards.
