Project Designer - Commercial Mixed-Use

About the role

HKS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Designer to lead the design of commercial mixed‑use projects in Dubai. The role involves collaborating with senior designers, consultants and clients to deliver high‑quality design solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs, presentations and detailed construction documents in coordination with senior designers.
• Lead design teams, providing guidance on creative concepts and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout development.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives.
• Prepare schematic site plans, 3D renderings and graphic presentations for client and public review.
• Research materials, systems and products, supporting senior designers in selection and evaluation.
• Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination alongside the project manager.

Required profile

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with architectural registration.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable design and integrated design guidelines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo.
• Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Twinmotion, Enscape, Bluebeam, Navisworks and the MS Office Suite.
