Project Director – Digital Transformation (Financial Services)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a major digital transformation programme for a financial services and capital‑markets organisation in Dubai. The role combines executive‑level stakeholder management with hands‑on delivery oversight across a portfolio of inter‑dependent initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex digital transformation projects, managing scope, milestones, budget and outcomes.
• Lead multidisciplinary business, technology and delivery teams, including external partners and suppliers.
• Collaborate directly with C‑level executives to prioritise work, resolve dependencies and make key decisions.
• Establish programme governance, executive reporting and escalation processes.
• Monitor programme finances, resources, commercial commitments, major risks and supplier performance.
• Chair steering committees and senior governance forums, presenting progress and escalation items.
• Hold delivery teams accountable, address under‑performance and implement recovery plans.
• Manage significant programme changes and ensure smooth transition to operation.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years of senior delivery experience, preferably as a Project Director, Programme Director or Senior Programme Manager.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale digital transformation in financial services or capital‑markets.
• Deep understanding of capital‑markets environments, including trading, listing, clearing, settlement or market‑data platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with C‑level and senior executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams across business, technology, vendors and consulting partners.
