Project Director

About the role

Ascentis, an international engineering and project management consultancy, is looking for a Project Director to lead the delivery of high‑rise and large‑scale hospitality and commercial developments in Dhaka. You will be responsible for aligning project execution with client objectives, budgets, timelines, quality standards and ESG goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PMC delivery for multiple high‑rise and large‑scale projects, overseeing programme management, project controls, governance and risk management.
• Develop and implement digital project management systems, dashboards and data‑driven decision‑making processes.
• Drive pre‑construction activities including feasibility studies, budgeting, value engineering, tendering, procurement planning and design coordination.
• Manage construction progress, quality, safety, productivity and contractor performance using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Oversee commercial and contract management, including tender administration, variation management, claims handling and FIDIC contract negotiations.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and executive‑level client communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing, multi‑location teams, collaborating with HR on recruitment and resource planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Extensive experience delivering complex, high‑value construction projects in the hospitality or commercial sector.
• Proven leadership in programme and project controls, risk management and ESG integration.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in FIDIC contracts and dispute avoidance.
