Project Director

About the role

The Project Director will lead large‑scale infrastructure projects from inception through construction, testing, commissioning and handover. Reporting to senior management, you will provide executive oversight of technical, commercial, contractual, financial and stakeholder activities to ensure delivery against programme, budget, quality, safety and sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic leadership and governance for multi‑disciplinary project teams across all phases.
• Manage client, government authority and stakeholder relationships, leading executive meetings and progress reviews.
• Oversee contract administration under FIDIC, including variations, claims and commercial risk management.
• Direct engineering design coordination, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and asset handover for roads, utilities, drainage and related works.
• Establish and enforce quality, HSE and risk management frameworks, monitoring performance against KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree and professional certifications (CEng, PE, PMP) preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience delivering major infrastructure projects, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing multidisciplinary consultancy teams and complex stakeholder environments in the UAE.
• Strong commercial awareness, decision‑making ability and high integrity.
