Project Director – Large‑Scale Airport Project

About the role

Artelia is seeking a Project Director to lead the delivery of a large‑scale airport project in Dubai. You will act as the primary client interface, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, contractual matters and project strategy to ensure quality, cost, schedule and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of airport and infrastructure projects, aligning with client requirements, budgets and timelines.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships, conduct technical discussions and oversee contractual commitments.
• Control commercial performance, subcontracting strategies, variations, claims and financial objectives.
• Direct multidisciplinary design and supervision teams, forecast resources and drive high‑performance execution.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, risks and KPIs, providing reports to executive management.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, local regulations, international codes and project governance.
• Oversee contractor performance, approve deliverables and support effective execution through all phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience managing major construction, aviation or transportation projects, including airport developments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Airport Management, Aviation, Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven track record delivering projects exceeding USD 1 billion in construction value.
• Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams in design and site supervision.
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern markets, stakeholders and business practices.
• Fluent English communication and excellent leadership and client‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and commercial project management.
