Project Director - PMCM

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead its mixed-use development initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees a major project with significant contract value, manages complex coordination across multiple systems and processes, and acts as the main point of contact with clients, driving delivery from conception through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage large-scale mixed-use projects within scope, schedule and budget
• Serve as principal liaison with clients, building collaborative relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop project strategies, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and execute projects efficiently
• Lead and mentor project teams of 15 or more members, including remote teams and subcontractors
• Resolve complex issues in risk management, financial performance, contract administration and resource allocation
• Oversee budget control, cost management and financial forecasting
• Manage schedules, timelines and milestones while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and regulatory authorities
• Monitor performance metrics and report to senior leadership and clients

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of project management experience in mixed-use development or large-scale construction
• Proven expertise in PMCM methodologies and best practices
• Experience managing projects with high contract values and complex coordination
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of 15 or more and managing subcontractors and vendors
• Knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements and building codes
