Project Engineer - Infra

About the role

Worley is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate critical infrastructure projects, bridging the gap between project managers and engineering teams. The role involves managing schedules, deliverables, and technical coordination across utilities, water, power, transport and related sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project engineering teams to deliver scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety objectives.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverable registers, bills of materials and forecasts.
• Act as technical interface between project managers, engineering leads, customers, authorities, contractors and vendors.
• Translate contract requirements into scope, deliverables, schedules and resource plans, and track cost and schedule performance.
• Support business development by preparing scopes, schedules, resource plans and risk assessments for small critical infrastructure pursuits.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience with professional registration eligibility.
• Typically 8+ years of engineering experience, including 5‑7 years of technical or supervisory project management experience.
• Experience coordinating engineering and EPC delivery, with exposure to EPCM/EPC, site assignments and workshare.
• Knowledge of infrastructure standards, design reviews, constructability and interdisciplinary workflows.

Required skills

• AI‑enabled tools, Microsoft Copilot, bots and automation.
• Commissioning, engineering coordination, project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
• Experience with Visio, Access and project controls tools.
• Familiarity with EPCM/EPC processes and construction documentation.
