Project Engineer - OOH & DOOH

About the role

Hypermedia is looking for a Project Engineer to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of its OOH and DOOH projects across the UAE, including LED screens, billboards, hoardings, unipoles, transit, rail, indoor and mall media. The role links internal teams and external stakeholders from site survey and permitting through installation and handover, managing documentation, approvals and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and track projects: read baselines, build realistic timelines, keep trackers up to date, follow up on deliverables, flag delays and prepare weekly progress reports.
• Handle permits and approvals: submit and follow up on NOCs and approvals via UAE authority portals (Dubai Municipality, RTA, Trakhees, Abu Dhabi Municipality, ITC, Mada Media, DEWA/ADDC/TAQA) and keep a live approval log.
• Site work: carry out surveys, record measurements and photos, assess access, power and structural constraints, and coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Procurement: quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, material requests, RFPs and RFQs, vendor documentation checks and onboarding of contractors and suppliers.
• Documentation: maintain drawings, shop drawings, submittals, method statements and permits, and keep a structured digital filing system.
• Commercial support: compile quotations, delivery evidence and completion certificates for budgeting and invoicing.
• Internal coordination: act as the link between Projects and Sales, Operations, TechOps and Finance, and provide day-to-day support to the Projects and Engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Architectural preferred) or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years in project execution or coordination in construction, MEP, signage, outdoor media or advertising, ideally in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience submitting and following up approvals on UAE authority portals.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Working level of AutoCAD, able to read and mark up architectural, structural and electrical drawings.
• Advanced Excel (trackers, BOQs, comparison sheets) and good PowerPoint and Word.
• A plus: Notion and AI tools such as Claude/ChatGPT; a plus: DOOH/LED, steel structures or architecture background.
