Project Management Expert – Public Facilities

About the role

The Department of City Beautification and Public Projects is seeking a seasoned Project Management Expert to provide technical advice, develop standards, and oversee complex public‑facility projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on sustainable construction systems, value‑engineering studies, and the continuous improvement of project regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define project strategy, work plans and identify design and execution requirements in coordination with department officials.
• Conduct value‑engineering studies and issue recommendations for optimal project solutions.
• Research emerging sustainable construction technologies and best practices.
• Develop, update and maintain technical systems, regulations, specifications, standards and work procedures.
• Unify and classify technical references and engineering specifications, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Review complex contractual claims and change orders submitted by consultants or contractors, providing guidance for approval.
• Prepare memoranda, case files and supporting documentation for lawsuits related to department projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in project management within the construction or public‑facilities sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in value engineering, sustainable construction, and technical regulation development.
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing contractual claims and change orders.
