Project Manager – Clinical Trials Unit

About the role

The Project Manager for the Clinical Trials Unit will independently lead medium to large projects that are strategically important for the department and site. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with SSMC Enterprise Transformation methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and deliver project activities throughout the full project life‑cycle.
• Manage project budgets, create forecasts and track expenditures against approved limits.
• Facilitate problem‑solving, decision‑making and change management with minimal supervision.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, update plans regularly and store records appropriately.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on project management best practices and standards to other staff.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of progressive experience in project management, including 3‑5 years of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge and formal training (PMP or PRINCE2 preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Healthcare Management, Administration, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
• Experience in a large healthcare facility is desirable.
