Project Manager - Hospitality Fit-Out & Design Management

About the role

Fisher HR is recruiting a Project Manager for hospitality fit-out and design management in Dubai. The role covers design management, programme control, procurement, cost and commercial control, and project delivery, working with architects, interior designers, MEP and other consultants and fit-out contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project briefs, operator and client requirements and design deliverables across disciplines, and manage design programmes, stage gates, reviews, approvals and action closure.
• Review design documentation for coordination, completeness, constructability, budget alignment and operational practicality.
• Drive interfaces between architecture, interiors, MEP, lighting, kitchen, specialist consultants and fit-out contractors.
• Maintain master and detailed programmes, milestones, dependencies and critical paths; challenge consultant and contractor programmes and agree recovery actions.
• Track decisions, procurement lead times, authority approvals and long-lead items against required dates.
• Lead project, design, procurement and site meetings, issue minutes and prepare weekly and monthly client reports, dashboards, risk registers and executive summaries.
• Support tendering and procurement: tender strategy, queries, clarifications, interviews, bid evaluation, RFPs and the appointment of consultants.
• Work with the cost consultant on budgets, forecasts and cost plans, track changes and contingencies, and challenge value-engineering proposals.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, logistics and compliance, maintain risk and issue logs, and coordinate mock-ups, inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.
• Represent the client professionally and provide decision-oriented reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of project management and/or project delivery experience.
• Experience with a leading regional or international consultancy and/or a major regional or international fit-out or main contractor.
• Proven design management and fit-out delivery capability, including consultant coordination, tendering and site delivery.
• Demonstrable hospitality project experience (hotels, F&B, guestrooms, public areas, branded residences or comparable high-quality interiors).
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Project Management.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage, additional languages are beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
• Strong MS Office skills and effective use of scheduling and collaboration tools.
• Experience with Aconex, Procore, Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD strongly preferred.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Power BI, Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM tools is a plus.
